Seaboard / Harmac Transportation Group has an enduring commitment to a safety culture which includes programs and practices. The safety ethic is ingrained in our mission statements and is practiced from at all levels of our organization, including drivers and mechanical staff.  Both Seaboard and Harmac have full time Safety Departments to manage the many safety programs and initiatives.

The Safety Departments work with operations management as well as their own staff of Safety Coordinators to bring well thought out training programs to our employees and contractors. Training is completed on initial hiring as well as throughout the employee’s employment. Seaboard/ Harmac’s safety training programs are documented in our ISO 9001-2000 Quality System.

Harmac Transportation, through its involvement in the Canadian Chemical Producers Association, has become the first road transportation Partner Member to obtain Responsible Care Verification. Harmac remains committed to the six guiding principles of Responsible Care as well as to the Codes of Practice.

Our programs and our people show the commitment we have to safety but it’s the results that prove it. We have data and analysis that show that we follow through on our commitments.
